Graston Technique (GT) is an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique. Stainless steel instruments with a patented treatment edge are used to glide over the skin surface on an applied emollient to detect, treat, and reduce soft tissue fibrosis and chronic inflammation in order to reduce pain and restore function. Connective tissue such as muscle, ligaments, or tendons become restricted or scarred, which results in pain, and loss of flexibility and movement. Clinical experience has shown the GT is very helpful in the management and treatment of a large variety of musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Cleveland has been certified in this technique since 2004 and is highly skilled in treating conditions using the Graston Technique.
